Simon Wilby Dips Toe in Solar Powered Battery Market

Whether you are an advocate of green movement or not, there is no denying the fact that it is becoming integrated into our daily lives by the minute. And green inventors like Simon Wilby only make this process faster.

Simon Wilby’s invention, The Smart One, is well-positioned to take advantage of the growing market for green devices. Since it is solar powered, current and future markets will not find it hard to patronize his product.

The Smart One is an aftermarket solar powered battery that relies on light energy converted via plastic solar cells. This is a device that is attached to the back door of the cell phone battery. It collects and transforms light energy into battery charge. Unlike typical batteries, this one provides a more efficient energy source for cellular phones that can extend average talk time to as much as 300%.

Simon Wilby expects to sell his invention to the mainstream market in the near future. He is currently adding developments to The Smart One and soon, he hopes to find cell phone manufacturers who would be willing to adapt this technology for use in future phones. As of yet, the product is available as a replacement for cell phone batteries.
